Alron Brandman's "Portrait of the Old Growth Tree" series is currently on display in Purusha Studio's lobby and Main Studio room.
About the Series:
The portraits, oil painted on canvas, are of an old tree painted in the open air, in the forest, within the vibration of nature. The aritist and his work tell this story:
"A long time ago, this very tree was surrounded by the original blueprint of mother nature, with the original people of this Californian land, the original eco-system with all it's animals and plants native. A long time ago, this tree was part of the virgin forest, which spread from east to west from north to south, thriving for thousands of centuries.
"One day, a foreigner
came to California and with him brought change. Cutting down the times of antiquity, introducing destruction. With the native people and many animals disappearing, this very tree witnessed massive amount of deforestation and became a survivor as new people, plants, and animals replaced the old.
"This is the story of today, and this very tree has witnessed, and survivied, the most epic drama, and still remembers and carries those sacred vibrations of times long ago."
By painting the OLD GROWTH TREE portraits, its story is captured, downloaded into the canvas, and can be felt, seen, and witnessed. Never using any photos, the paintings are done with honor, integrity, and remembrance of what once was in times of antiquity and what is now, capturing the moment as it is and placing it into the canvas with all this intention.
