Purusha Yoga Classes

Explore, discover, and express your inner truth. Empower yourself and your community through the classical practices of Yoga.

Purusha yoga classes are carefully created with the guidance of classic philosophy: Sukha/ Sthirra, which means "full of bliss and steadiness." This “sweet & steady” approach is carried out in all facets of each class through the movement of the body and breath. It is through this conscious practice that one comes to connect with the truth within known as ‘Purusha’ or true self. We welcome you to come and explore, discover, and express your truth.

Purusha Yoga is built on the foundation of sound alignment principals, the flow of energy through the chakras, and specific breathing technique. We believe that every pose is for every body (there are just different 'versions') We believe that there is a natural progression toward the ideal (yet strive to keep it 'real') We believe there are no injuries when one is practicing yoga (loosing that union is the cause) We believe in giving students safe space, a comfortable place, and appropriate pace in which to stay connected We believe that within each of us there is a divine knowledge, a perfect teacher; a 'purusha'. We believe in sharing the journey and savoring the moments between.

All yoga classes are open to all levels. Options and modifications for beginners to advanced participants are given. Each certified, experienced and professional Purusha instructor has a keen knowledge of the human body and understanding of how to accommodate for typical concerns. Please consult a health care professional in a private setting before beginning any group exercise program. We strongly recommend personalized yoga therapy as a starting point for individuals with specific questions or concerns.

Many Purusha instructors choose to use music during the class. Music is a major catalyst to moving energy through all levels of the human experience. We think you will enjoy the uplifting world and familiar beats that we spin for you.
