Growing up an avid athlete, Heather found yoga the prefect way to enhance and balance her active lifestyle. Her practice consisted of Iyengar and Vinyasa classes until a running injury led to exploring restorative and yin practices to relieve stress and strengthen the joints.
Heather graduated in 2009 from Eyes of the World Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training and continues to deepen her understanding of the mind body benefits of yoga through the 300 Hour Purusha Yoga Therapist and Advanced Certification.
As a healthcare provider and registered yoga teacher, Heather loves to empower others. She creates a safe and nurturing environment for students to explore linking movement with breath, body awareness, alignment, playfulness, and mindfulness. Heather strives to make yoga approachable and available to everyone and enjoys teaching individuals of all ages and abilities.
