Whitney Marie Archer-Byrnes believes freed joints and a flexible spine can get you out of painful patterns and back to life. Throughout her 8 years as a Holistic Health Practitioner, massage therapist, and movement instructor, Whitney has found satisfaction in helping people find freedom in their body, and reduce pain patterns. She is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor with over 2000 hours of training including lymphatic and organ massage, anatomy, herbology and bodymind psychology.
Whitney draws from her diverse schooling and experience specializing in pre and post-operation/surgery movement therapies, spinal pathologies and Therapeutic Pilates and Neuro-Muscular Therapy (NMT) Bodywork combination sessions. Additionally as a mother she has pursued a personal interest in pre-pregnancy, prenatal, and postnatal sessions, and is trained in pre/post-natal Pilates and Bodywork. (APC and Healing Hands 2002-2005) (Body Arts and Science International 2005, 2007) (Women's Center for Fitness 2007).
Last year Whitney started teaching the work she well knows and loves to other teachers and colleagues. At the Purusha Yoga School Whitney teaches the Purusha Core Module for the 500 Hour Teacher Training and Anatomy for the 200 Hour Teacher Training. She believes that as a teacher she has a responsibility to life long learning.
Whitney is currently studying teaching strategies and psychology of sport and exercise to better serve her students and clients. Additionally Whitney is CPR certified and has full liability insurance.
