Yoga Coach Certification
In this course, you will learn how to work with individuals in a holistic and complimentary modality of health care. Yoga Coaching is a new and growing field. This course is an introduction to the system of Purusha Yoga Coaching, and a required module for the Purusha Yoga Coaching Certification. With all of the basic 8 limb yoga tools in hand and heart, the focused mind of the yoga coach is able to facilitate a transformation through the Purusha Method. This course is open to everyone- health educators, personal trainers, counselors, and anyone looking to expand their holistic coaching with the unique tools and techniques of Yoga Coaching.
Part One: In part one the student will come to deeply understand the 8 limbs of yoga as a complete toolbox of practices to achieve holistic health and healing. As the student personalizes this understanding the blossoming healer arises naturally as a mirror of this understanding and dedication to its outcome which is empathy through co existence and knowledge that we are all one. The 5 koshas model of holistic human experience is understood and utilized as a means of providing relationship on the physical, mental, energetic, intellectual and spiritual planes of existence. A Holistic Partnership is understood and knowledge of its application is achieved and practiced. Specific Yoga prescriptions (Yoga RX) are learned for common diseases and concerns such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, postural deviations, back injury, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, depression and anxiety.
Part Two: In part two you will learn how to initiate, inspire, and activate your clients into new habits. The Purusha method is an 8-12week program that includes specific practices for the practitioner to facilitate a change in beliefs, mental habits, physical activity, lifestyle, and overall daily choices. You will learn how to assess heart health, mental well-being, posture, strength, and flexibility. You will also learn how optimal health in all of these areas are defined and improved. Communication, and coaching skills will be understood and practiced.
Part Three: In Part Three of the Yoga Coach module you will put your skills and knowledge to good work and service by obtaining a client and embarking upon a case study. You will learn how to design a program to accommodate an individual’s lifestyle, needs, and specific goals.
Direct experience with practice clients will be provided and supervised during this course as will specific methods for helping your client unveil their deepest hearts desire, healing trauma stored in the body, improving circulation and vital energy, establishing new beliefs and habits, move their body to improve strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Restorative alliance, strong communication and salutary coaching skills are all integrated and perfected.
