program overview

Welcome to Level II of the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

Upon graduation from a level one yoga teacher training most people find themselves ready to dive into the pool of classic yoga a bit deeper. After all, you were just introduced to a massive system of integrative health, well-being, and philosophy that tends to blow the mind, body, and heart wide open and ready for more. Enjoy the menu of courses. It includes opportunities to learn specialized skills that can incorporated into your current classes and programs while also opening new doors to a greater number of students to serve from a wide variety of ages, stages, goals, and abilities.

Indulge yourself in new and emerging styles of this classic system that allow you to approach your growing profession as a blossoming art.

At this stage, Yoga becomes just that, a holistic and healing art, and you as the developing artist may choose what you wish to explore. The best part of the Purusha Yoga School is that all of these specialized skills and styles are held within a pedagogy that is solidly established in the classic roots of Raja, Hatha, Jnana, Bhakti, Karma, Jnana, and Tantra Yoga. Each of the key elements and Kriyas we hold most essential are explored and expressed with greater and greater depths and in more expansive ways within each course of study.

The pedagogy of the Purusha Yoga School is one that is built on meeting your clients and students where they are and as they are. You will continue to develop your ability to tap into your own inner resources and relationship to your true self as your ever-present source to serve others.

Throughout these courses, you will fine-tune your purpose and the people you wish to serve. This may change throughout your life, but it will always be held in the relationship to truth that you have nourished within.

You will be exposed to skills that enable you to create a therapeutic alliance that ensures a safe and effective space to work with individuals in a caring and professional way with equanimity and respect for all.

This studio is an oasis. With so many yoga studios in the city centered solely on fitness, it’s nice to find a place that expands beyond the physical into the lessons of yoga - integrating the philosophy. It has such a great vibe, it’s always felt really cozy and welcoming. The schedule has a wide variety of classes and they switch up schedule a few times a year which keeps things new. I have gone through their 500 RYT training program and had a really nice experience. The teacher’s training was a huge learning experience for me and very invaluable.

The Purusha Yoga teacher-training program provides a wonderful foundation for the knowledge, skills, and personal qualities necessary to be a successful yoga teacher. More than a school, Purusha is a community built upon trust, respect, and holistic learning that considers its students as whole emotional and spiritual beings with many inherent gifts to offer. Purusha helps its students recognize these gifts and share them with the world.
