Anastasia is a student of yoga. She completed traditional and authentic yoga teacher training in Kerala, India through the school from Rishikesh -- Rishikul Yogshala. She is trained in Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga (Primary Series), Pranayama, Meditation, Adjustment & Alignment, Yoga Philosophy, and Ayurvedic Foundations. As a seeker and world traveler, she practiced yoga in Bali where she met some of the most influential yogis. Her devotion to the yogic path solidified when she stayed in Parmarth Niketan, an ashram located in Rishikesh, a true spiritual haven, lying on the holy banks of Mother Ganga in the lap of the lush Himalayas.
In addition to yoga and while growing up in Moscow, Anastasia also was a devoted semi-professional rhythmic gymnast and spent some 7 years of intense daily training.
Calling Richmond District in San Francisco her home, she genuinely gravitated to Purusha and the incredible community that Joy and Eric created and where she has been practicing yoga since 2016.
Now that she is not only a student but a teacher, she tries to tailor her practice and her classes to the needs of the modern urban world and the busy lifestyle of her students.
Anastasia is excited to share and expand her knowledge with her students. She incorporates pranayama practices and believes that the body can heal itself with the right practice and approach, and with the right flow of prana, of course.
The goal of Anastasia’s classes is to help you find your optimum physical, mental and spiritual well-being on your yoga journey, find new depth with each breath, and help to build an incredible community that Purusha is.
