Angela was born and raised in California, and started her love for movement young with dance and swimming. In 1999 she took an Iyengar class at her local community college and it changed her life forever. Studying Holistic health became her focus for the next 20 years. She never actually thought she could be a Yoga teacher until she discovered Curvy Yoga. Her mind was officially blown seeing a big-bodied Yoga teacher in a room filled with other big bodies! She was inspired to see people of all shapes and sizes practicing yoga with love and passion, and she wanted to share her own wisdom with others. She has recently left a managerial position at a Chinese herb company she was at for 17 years to pursue her holistic health passions that include: Yoga, bodywork, massage and holistic coaching. She has been teaching since 2016.

Angela works with the local non-profit Niroga studio bringing dynamic mindfulness to teens, homeless shelters and under served communities. With her 200YTT from Niroga and certificates in: Prenatal Vinyasa, laughter Yoga, curvy Yoga, mindful Yoga therapy and Yoga for all, she feels her teaching style reflects the diversity she wants to see grow in the Yoga world. Her practice has a deep focus on mindfulness and experiencing from a place of self love. An ever-changing and growing process. Classes have elements of Raja, Hatha and Bhakti (devotional) Yoga styles. As a Kapha (big and strong) type person, she offers a very nurturing and love centered approach to her teaching style and students. You can find more info on her website www.bigyogalife.com
