Align and Flow

In this alignment based flow you will be given expert instruction on how to properly arrange your body in each asana with ample time to correct, modify and progress with your particular needs and specific areas of focus taken into careful consideration. This is a no-rush flow of intelligent focus and merging of mind, breath, and body.


Beginner Hatha /Restorative

The Beginner Hatha Class incorporates the foundation poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), focus/ meditation techniques (dharana/ dhyana), and how to integrate awareness between mind, body and spirit. You will learn exercises that promote physical health and mental clarity, while increasing vital energy and self awareness. In this class you will receive individualized instruction and personalized care to accommodate for your specific needs, desires, and concerns.

All ages, levels of experience and ability are welcome.


Beginner Yoga Fit Cross Training

Beginners will gain strength, flexibility, balance and toning by using yoga poses in structured sets to target all major muscle groups and joints.  This class is excellent for post rehabilitation of knees, shoulders, hips and spine.  An excellent way to learn proper form and develop a strong foundation of yoga practice and improved well being.  


Beginner Yogi Fit Fusion

Total Body Fitness is achieved with a mindful and conscious approach.  Special care is given to the concerns of a beginner such as joint stability, neck and lower back care, core strength, balance, and controlled movement.  Move through all components of fitness as well as breathing, focus and relaxation.  All levels welcome.  No experience necessary.


Candlelight Restorative

A peaceful and serene candle light setting sets the space for slowing down and connecting with your breath through gentle pranayama (breathing exercises), asanas (postures) to relax, release and restore, and guided meditations to calm your mind.  Appropriate for all levels.  


Dance Your Yoga

Bring your spirit, your mojo, your groove and let your soul dance in this inspirational and easy to follow class that allows you the space and freedom to explore your body, heart and truth with world beat music and classic yoga fusing into somatic and authentic rhythms.  No experience necessary, all levels welcome.

with Massage

Join Jen, an experienced massage therapist, energy worker and yoga teacher for a unique, rejuvenating class designed to address everything from muscles to bones to nervous system to energy centers. This therapeutic class follows an intelligent progression from a flowing vinyasa practice into yin & restorative poses that are experientially deepened through generous adjustments, massage, aromatherapy, reiki and guided visualization.

This class is intentionally kept small so all students can benefit from hands-on work. Appropriate for all levels and abilities.


Free Meditation

Learn how to meditate using the 8 limb practice of yoga. Class begins with a short dharma talk to inspire your heart and mind, then moves into a progressive session of seated meditation where you will be gently guided with channeled cues to maintain connection and flow. Complete your practice with a brief discussion and check in with your community.


Free Pre and Post Natal Community Hour

 Welcome to a safe space to share and receive knowledge. It truly does take a village to provide the support we need to care for ourselves and our children. In a city that can often feel anonymous, our hope is to provide the community you're searching for. The goal is to build this group together and be open to the form it takes naturally. With everyone having something to offer, whether it be a warm smile or friendly advice, we can create a kind group of people wanting to help and be helped and maybe make some new friends along the way. This is a group for every kind of parent. Please bring your bellies and your babies, too, if you'd like. Or leave the babe at home and have some you time. Whatever works!


Free Yoga in Golden Gate Park

Purusha Seva Project, our nonprofit offers Free Yoga in the Park at Golden Gate Park every Saturday at 11:30 AM  by the Grove/Picnic area between Queen Wilhemina's Gardens and 47th Avenue.

 Take yourself outside and into the beauty of this city's heart and soul.  Practice yoga under the trees and let the ocean air sooth and invigorate you.  This class expertly blends breathing and movement, strength and grace, imagination and form.  You will gain a personal understanding of the 8 limbs of yoga and your true self (purusha) by practicing in nature and community.  The class ends with a sharing circle.  All are welcome.

Donations benefit the Purusha Seva Project.  The Purusha Seva Project is a 501-C3 non profit organization that brings the Purusha Method of Yoga to under served and at risk populations such as Veterans. 


Hatha 1-2

Hatha 2-3

Would you like to take your practice to the next level?  This class will take you there with personalized instruction by an advanced teacher with years of experience guiding individuals progressively through their practices, including; asana, breathing techniques, and other key yoga practices.  Explore and discover your true natural potential in a safe and inspiring atmosphere.  6 months experience with Hatha Yoga is recommended.

This class combines breath and movement in a graceful fluid flow that will encourage freedom in your joints, length in your muscles and deep awareness throughout. The somatic (mind+body) approach of yin & yang- sun and moon is the essence of hatha flow. This class will leave you enlivened and enthused with a new sense of well being in your muscles, connective tissue, energy and mind.  


Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is the foundation of all other forms of holistic yoga. We recommend that you begin your new yoga practice with this class.  Ultimately Hatha is the expression of Yin and Yang, movement and stillness, putting forth effort and receiving the flow of life through surrender and breath. Learn exercises that promote physical health and mental clarity, while increasing vital energy and self awareness. In this class you will receive individualized instruction and personalized care to accommodate for your specific needs, desires, and concerns.

All levels welcome. Beginners are encouraged.

Medicinal Yin

Medicinal Yin is a practice designed to get into the deep fascia which interweaves throughout the body, protects the organs and supports the joints. Poses are held 2-10 minutes to allow the connective tissues to adjust to the shape change thus giving an opportunity to release tension and open blocked channels- resulting in an increase in energetic flow and a clearer mental state. Yin yoga dives into uncharted territories where it may appear from the outside not much is happening, however, deep sensations and complex experiences develop when we resolve to be still with ourselves. Yin should not be confused with restorative yoga as it is an engaging practice not to be done when healing from an injury.


Mommy/Baby Yoga (donation-Based)

Mommy/Baby Yoga is a space where we can find support and nourishment in each others company through play, dance, yoga, (including practices to strengthen the pelvic floor), sharing stories and advice, offering and receiving support for all kinds of mama challenges, and celebrating our babies and each other. Babies 0-12 months. Donation based. Please bring a baby blanket and a baby carrier/sling/wrap/björn.


Pilates Summer Kick Start ($30 Drop In)

Transform and strengthen your body with a 6-week Personalized Pilates Kick-Start for Summer Series. Personalized Pilates offers an opportunity to create deep change in your body, shifting postural patterns and creating deep core strength. With no more than ten students, this small group training offers students personalized feedback on their practice as they build the foundation for their Pilates practice. Twice-weekly small group training plus one private session to focus solely on supporting your personal needs.

Develop your 'power house' which are the deep muscles of the abdominals, pelvis, hips and spine.  Learn how true strength and empowerment comes from deep within. This class combines mat Pilates exercises and classic yoga asana, breath, and energy focus in a completely unique way.  With regular attendance you will enjoy increased strength, tone, balanced posture, ease and grace.   This class is an essential compliment to any sport,  Yoga or fitness routine. All movement and health depends on a strong core.


Purusha Vinyasa and Pilates

Enjoy a flow that is invigorating yet mindful as it carefully combines breath and movement with deep awareness of core strength and freedom from tension.  Complete your practice with specialized focus on mat pilates exercises performed in a yogic way to help you understand, access, and strengthen "power house" muscles.  You will feel centered, enlivened and fit throughout your body, mind and spirit.  


Restorative Yoga

Treat your self to a yogic spa experience in this relaxing and peaceful class. You will be guided into restorative poses that are supported and modified to meet your individual needs with bolsters, blankets, pillows and other props that provide   a unique opportunity to completely surrender and relax, while your mind is whisked away into serenity and bliss with guided meditation.   Each posture has a specific function to heal, mend, and restore balance to a particular part of the structural body while also creating a pathway to the parasympathetic nervous system to deeply relax and heal the mind, energy and overall connection to homeostasis and well being.  All levels welcome.


Somatic Vinyasa

The practice of somatic yoga is one that relies on the wisdom within the body as our best guide or teacher.    This class uses inspiration from the 7 chakras, five elements, and the vayus (directional flow of energy) to guide you through an authentic flow of asana movements, breath and imaginative focus. This class will release tension, and allow energy to flow freely which increases overall health, inner strength and wellbeing. Beginner to Advanced enthusiasts are welcome.  Come with an open heart and mind.  Be ready to sweat, laugh, and be your true self!


Vinyasa 1-2

Vinyasa literally means 'flow'. In this class you will learn to link breath and movement with a calm and meditative mind. Enjoy sequences that improve strength, flexibility, inner confidence and grace. In this class you will move through easy to follow sequences or 'sets' of poses to gently stimulate circulation, flow of energy, and overall stamina. This class is suitable for students with little or no experience with vinyasa, however it is recommended that you take Hatha Yoga first as a way to understand basic posture alignment and breathing techniques. Modifications and options are given to accommodate most common concerns. Beginners are encouraged!


Vinyasa 2-3

Enjoy a vigorous yet graceful flow that does not rest on traditional Vinyasa to get the heart rate up, muscles charged, and blood flowing. Specific cues and personalized instruction will guide you toward realizing your full potential in each pose, ultimately developing grace, strength, focus, and precision.  This class is suggested for yogis with some experience in Hatha or Vinyasa Yoga.  


This class is a perfect mix of invigorating Vinyasa 2/3 (see description) and rejuvenating Yin.  The first part of the class is made up unique sequences that include a creative mix of standing poses, back bends, arm balances, inversions and core exercises that will challenge the advanced enthusiast and provide opportunities to progress your practice.   The last 20 minutes of class will be a a passive practice of floor poses held for 3-5 minutes designed to enhance natural range of motion and target the connective tissues surrounding the hips, pelvis and lower spine.  A perfect marriage of Yin and Yang for a balanced mind, body, heart and soul that is injury- free and ready for the modern world.  This class is recommended for those that are adept at Hatha 1/2, Vinyasa 1/2 and Yin.

Vinyasa all levels

This class is the perfect place to begin the path of vinyasa or improve your understanding, alignment, and smooth linking of postures. The Instructor gives a keen eye to each student to individualize options that accommodate a large range of needs and levels.  Whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced enthusiast you will enjoy this path of integrating breath, body, and focused mindfulness.

Yoga Fit Boot Camp

Get all of your cross training in one great class!This workout skillfully merges circuit training, yoga asana, plyometrics, cardio and calisthenics.  Taught by teachers who are experts in multiple modalities- you will receive safe and effective instruction for total body fitness, health, yoga and well being.   This class is suggested for intermediate students who have some experience with yoga or fitness. 


Yoga Fit Cross Training

Yoga RX: Healthy Bones & Joints

Therapeutic Yoga for healthy bones and joints will provide you will all of the exercises and yoga practices you need to maintain healthy strong bones and supple joints. This class is appropriate for those experiencing issues in these areas and for those who wish to prevent dis-ease in these areas such as Osteopenic, Osteoporosis, Arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome.  


Yoga RX: Healthy Spine

Therapeutic Yoga to align your spine for total health and easy living. Learn key techniques to unlock tension, balance muscles, and relax stress that is held in the body. Learn proper posture for neutral alignment and ease in all other asana, body positions. This class is appropriate for any one who wishes to prevent back issues or for those who are post rehab with specific back issues such as: herniated discs, postural deviations, sciatica, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, neck or lower back pain, and/or arthritis.
