Kathleen is a Bay Area native who has spent most of her life exploring ways to move on the ground and through the air. An athlete, dancer, gymnast and aerialist, Kathleen first turned to yoga as a method of improving her flexibility and strength, but was surprised to find a true love for the practice when she found Purusha.
Finding great comfort in the emphasis on embracing the true self (even if the true self wasn’t sure she what she was doing there), Kathleen quickly enrolled and completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and Thai Yoga Bodywork certification with Purusha Yoga School, and still considers stumbling upon it to be one of her life’s most fortunate accidents.
Kathleen’s classes are driven by music, rhythm, and expressive movement, and her greatest hope is that students leave feeling supported and well…just downright GOOD. The greatest compliment she has received from a student to date “I never know what we are going to do, but I always know how I am going to feel.”
Outside the studio, Kathleen has recently accepted the role of Administrative Director for the Purusha Yoga School and is enjoying bringing her experience with resilience support, program direction, and education to this incredible community.
