A Six Week Guided Journey Series

In this 6 class series you will learn many ways to meditate and be awake in this world- fully in your mind and body.  Each class will explore a group of meditation practices that compliment each other and provide a full experience of movement, sitting, walking, breathing, and connecting with various techniques you can apply directly to your daily life.   You will learn a variety of classic meditations from the yoga traditions that will lead to deep understanding through direct focus, reflection, connection, and merging with matter, energy, sound, light, sensations and the true nature of the world and yourself. Specific meditations will include the 5 elements, energy play, meditations in nature, walking, gazing at objects, expressive art, sound/ mantra, sensory awareness, mandala and sacred symbols, mudra gestures and being still with nothing. Holistic Meditation starts with a foundation of becoming awake throughout our daily routine and activities.  Through these practices you will come to understand the levels of the mind, from receiving information, to perception, sensation, thought and revelation.  You will naturally adopt the ability to see your thoughts,  and choose the fluctuations of thought that best serves your optimal well-being.  You will become more in control of your mood, attitude and reactions to situations and stress.  You will develop the ability to pause, ground and access skills that will move you forward appropriately.  Waking up to What Is ultimately empowers you to live your life with freedom of choice, creativity and in the direction of your own truth.

About your teacher, Joy Ravelli


For over 20 years, Joy Ravelli has led workshops, retreats, and yoga teacher training. Joy is the co-owner and founder of Purusha Studio and School in San Francisco, CA. She is also the founder of the Purusha Seva Project, a non profit organization that brings powerful yoga practices to underserved and at-risk populations throughout the Bay Area and the world.

Joy brings a powerful sense of authenticity, humor, light, and natural wisdom to her classes, encouraging students to explore, discover, and express their true-self (purusha) in a safe and deeply inspiring atmosphere.

Joy has a master-level of experience and knowledge in the fields of natural fitness, somatic movement, thai yoga bodywork, martial arts, pilates, and classic yoga. She enjoys meditating and practicing with diverse people, places, animals, children and nature, while celebrating all the connected magic in this world.
