Fertility, childbearing and childbirth are shared parts of the human experience. This comprehensive course provides extensive knowledge and confidence to assist women during this deeply transformative year of conception, pregnancy, birth and parenthood. Yoga and medical therapeutic frameworks will help identify risk factors, blocks and contraindications to design and implement a client-centered yoga therapy plan to optimally and safely manage a client’s physical, emotional and spiritual health to care for self, others and home in a balanced and holistic manner.

How Yoga Therapy may fit into the current healthcare model for those seeking fertility assistance, expecting mothers, and new mothers and family.
Learn the physiological changes and psychological distresses that happen and may occur during the childbearing year.
You will learn how yoga helps with fertility and during the childbearing year. The somatic levels of obstacles (kleshas) within the body and mind related to this time in life.
Methods of design, progress, and adjusting strategies for individuals and groups.
How to address and support the shared experiences and issues surrounding the childbearing year that can affect us all, individually and in group therapy sessions.
How to use yoga and medical frameworks to identify risk factors, blocks and contraindications.
Design and implement a client-centered yoga program to safely manage physical, emotional and spiritual health, heightened intuition, and protect family and home units.
Using the 5 kosha model of care and the 8 limbs of Yoga to create a therapeutic alliance and modify for individual needs, common concerns, and specific imbalances that arise during the childbearing year.
Support women in care for self, others and home in a balanced and holistic manner.

Gina Iadarola, MSOTR/L, C-IAYT, ERT-500, YACEP has been an Occupational Therapist for over 40 years and is also a certified yoga therapist. She has worked in a variety of settings across the lifespan incorporating OT and yoga holistic principals of mind/body/spirit while balancing work, play, rest and spirituality to fully and passionately engage in meaningful and purposeful activities. She has helped over 1500 families in their childbearing years as a midwife, doula and childbirth educator. Growing up a competitive swimmer helped Gina solidify a passion for wellness at a young age. Gina and her husband of 40 years joyfully raised their children and are now proud grandparents. Gina believes all beings deserve to live their lives to their fullest potential happily with support and health.
